Fiber-Optical Engineering
The European Training Center provides comprehensive curricula for its candidates that cover the fundamentals of fiber-optical engineering. In an effort to fill the gap between scientific understanding and practical skill sets, The European Training Center has developed an ongoing series of workshops, geared toward developing hands-on experience for both optical engineering students and those already in the workforce. These workshops utilize the full breadth of The European Training Center’s resources and faculty expertise, to offer both students and employees a unique and hands-on experience which serves as both a professional development and networking opportunity in one setting.
As part of their program “Fiber-Optics and Cable and Splicing”, our group of engineering candidates along with their instructors, had the privilege to conduct this super-packed Fiber Optic workshop.
In the course of their workshop, candidates were able to see in practical how the different types of fiber optic cables are manufactured. Also, the quality control and industrial safety procedures of the company were explained to them.
